General tips on Hospitalization
Please read the following information carefully, as the knowledge will help your stay hassle free.
- Charges will be applicable according to the room type, from the date of admission and normally no changes are possible afterwards, hence choose your rooms/category according to your budget.
- The hospital is not responsible for your valuables. Please ensure that you do not bring any items of value, including watches, ornaments or cellular phones into the wards or rooms.
- Diet is a vital element of your treatment, prescribed by the physician and supervised by our dietician. Please endure that no outside food is brought into the wards or rooms, either for patient or for the attendant.
- Smoking, tobacco chewing or spitting is prohibited within the entire hospital campus.
- Consumption of liquor within the hospital campus or entry to the hospital campus after consumption of liquor is prohibited.
- Only one attendant is permitted with each patient including patients in economy wards (except CCU and ICU). Attendants of patients in ICU shall wait in the waiting lounge in the basement of Wing-A and Wing-B.
- Your friends and family are welcome to visit you during specified visiting hours only. Only one visitor is permitted at a time. Your visitors must carry a valid Visitor's [ass, issues at the reception at the time of admission.
What to bring for your admission registration
- Admission advice from your doctor.
- Letter of guarantee for payment from your employer/insurance company (if applicable)
Day of admission
- Registration for admission is done at the reception counter sitated in the basement of Wing-A
- Due to exigencies of circumstance or emergencies, we can confirm your choice of accommodation only on the day of admission.
Admission Time
- Admission for day surgery or elective surgery has to be completed two hours before the time of surgery or as advised by your doctor.
- In order to avoid unnecessary delays, please be punctual so that admission procedures and any tests, if required, can be completed in time.
Deposit
- A deposit is required at the time of admission. The sum payable varies on your choice of accommodation.
- Information on the charges applicable may be found in our hospital tariff list. Any of our front desk executives can also guide you in this matter.
- If you are required to undergo any surgery, 70% of the amount for the prodeure will have to be deposited on admission. Subsequent payment requirements will be intimated to you from time to time depending on your treatment.
- Please ensure that payments are made within 24 hours of intimation.
Your stay with us and room facilities
- Once you complete your admission registration, the staff nurse will show you to your room. She will also brief you on the room and ward facilities.
- Your room has been specially designed to provide the comfort of home ambience. All super deluxe, deluxe, semi deluxe, single private, semi private rooms are air conditioned and have nurse call system, telephones and television facilities.
- Please do not hesitate to use the nurse call-button should you require any assistance.
Choice of accommodation
We offer you varied levels of accommodation to choose from, depending on you budget:
- Super deluxe
- Semi deluxe
- Semi private
- Deluxe
- Single private
- General ward
Companion accommodation
- Your spouse or any relative may accompany you overnight if you are occupying a super deluxe, deluxe, semi deluxe, single private, semi private or general ward.
- If you are in the ICU, your companion may use the facilities on the waiting lounge.
Visiting Hours
Attendant pass - for attendants who can stay with the patient for 24 hours.
Visitor's pass - For visitors who can visit only during visiting hours
Visiting hours - The visiting hours of the hospital for attendant shall be from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM for CCU/ICU.
The hospital is daily visited by several people. Hence controlling this daily traffic becomes inevitable.
Visiting hours are regulated to ensure that you get proper rest for a speedy recovery. Please request strict observance of the visiting hours specified below from your visitors:
- Monday to Saturday between 11:00AM to 1:00 PM & 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Sunday between 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon and between 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Children below 12 years of age are not permitted.
- Visitors are allowed to visit you during the above hours only.
- Visitors can choose to have refreshments or meals in the cafeteria.
- Please ensure that facilities provided to you are utilized and handled with care.
Discharge and payment procedures
The normal discharge time is between 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
We will start processing your hospital bill once your doctor deems you fit for discharge. On receipt of the final bill, please settle the payments, understand the prescribed medication from the nursing staff and collect your belongings. Please inform the in-charge nurse if you prefer an earlier discharge.
Estimation of hospital bills
Our staff will generate an estimation of your hospital charges (on daily basis) during admission or prior to admission, at your request. (Except on holidays)
The estimation does not include doctor's professional fees, cases with complications and charges for any procedure not specified at the time of admission. Therefore, we may seek your understanding of the fact that the actual amount may vary from the estimate given.
Payment of hospital bills
Payment may be made at the reception/cash counter by:
- Cash
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard)
- Debit card
- Billing cycle is 12 hours
If your employer or insurance company is paying your bills, a letter of guarantee from the concerned authority is required at the time of admission.
Please note that hospital shall not be responsible for refusal of payment by either your employer or your insurer and, in such case, you will be personally liable for settlement of the bill.
Dietetic services
Hospital dietary department is pleased to offer its catering services as per the medical/therapeutic requirements.
The dietician works towards one goal i.e. providing good nutritionally balanced meals to all indoor patients as per their disease and medical requirements
We solicit your co-operation and support in keeping the hospital clean.
Chewing paan or betel nut, smoking or drinking alcohol is not permitted in the hospital premises. Please do not dispose of any waste or rubbish anywhere other than the waste bins provided for the purpose. Help us keep the hospital an environment friendly zone, the management and staff of hospital wished you a speddy recover.

Housekeeping
- Housekeeping staff will clean your room to ensure hygiene.
- Hot water will be available in all the bathrooms round the clock.
- Water is in short supply. Please ensure minimum wastage.
- In rooms with air-conditioning, please keep the windows closed especially during summer.
- Please do not flush solid waste like cotton bandages, sanitary napkins etc. in the toilets.
